Hansa Studios is one of the most famous recording studios in the world. David Bowie, Iggy Pop, U2 and Depeche Mode all worked here, and more recently Harry Styles recorded part of his 2026 album in the same rooms. But Hansa isn't a museum. It's a working studio still producing high-end recordings today, and it will keep doing so tomorrow.

The photography builds on the look of analogue film while adding a clean, modern quality. The grade leans into a deep orange hue with almost no true blacks — a tone that matches the atmosphere of Hansa Studios itself: wooden panelling across the walls and ceiling, earth toned carpets and tape machines, and vintage lighting.

Hansa Studios sits within a Berlin building that also houses the Meistersaal, a hall built between 1910 and 1913 that served as a concert and dance venue in the 1920s. It was one of the few buildings in the immediate area to survive the Second World War.
